  • Are you available for private hire?
    Yes! email us at bookings@ontherocksyarmouth.com to discuss date availability & your requirements. On The Rocks is an excellent choice of venue for events due to the flexibility in menu options. We also have an upstairs event space (Private Dining) for special occasions, corporate events or as a workspace. For bigger occasions, you can book the main restaurant area for private dining & events.
  • Is the restaurant accessible?
    Yes! the main restaurant is located at street-level with easy access. The restaurant & bar area are wheelchair accessible. We also have an accessible W/C on the ground floor. Unfortunately, our upstairs event space is not currently wheelchair accessible. If you have any other concerns about accessibility, please do not hesitate to contact the restaurant.
  • What are your opening hours?
    We are open: Monday 12:00 - Late Tuesday 12:00 - Late Wednesday 12:00 - Late Thursday 12:00 - Late Friday 12:00 - Late Saturday 12:00 - Late Sunday 12:00 - Late Our last sitting is at 21:45. Some days we may close earlier than advertised, so please call in advance! We may be closed on some dates for staff training, maintenance & private events. Opening & Closing times are subject to change dependent on the season.
  • Do you allow dogs in the restaurant?
    Please contact the restaurant in advance of your booking to check if we can accommodate your dog during your booking. Health & Safety is at the forefront of our mind for both guests & staff, which is why it's not always appropriate to have dogs in the restaurant - especially when carrying 460 degree volcanic rocks! We would hate for your dog to get injured.
  • What are volcanic hot stones?
    Volcanic hot stones are food-grade rocks which are super-heated to 460 degrees celcius. We've created an immersive experience where you can cook our local produce to your desired cuisson. Volcanic hot stone cooking requires no oil, making this cooking method a healthier alternative. Sear your chosen protein until the stone naturally releases the food. All main meals are served with bottomless fries & salad. why don't you try cooking On The Rocks?
  • Can I bring my own wine?
    We do not allow guests to bring their own drinks therefore we do not offer a corkage fee. However, we do have an extensive & carefully curated wine, spirit & cocktail list at On The Rocks.
  • Where are your volcanic hot rocks from?
    Our Hot Rocks come from Black Rock Grill. Unfortunately, we do not sell these, however, you can purchase your own on their website: https://blackrockgrill.com/.
  • Do you have a vegan menu?
    Unfortunately, we do not have a vegan menu. Please contact us in advance of your booking & we will be happy to discuss your options & accommodate you to the best of our ability.
  • Can you remove allergens from your dishes?
    Yes! as the proteins arrive on the table completely unadulterated, we can remove most allergens from your dish. Please let your waiter know of any allergies before you order so they can make the bar & kitchen aware.
  • Do you offer a Bottomless Brunch?
    Payments to be taken upon booking. Our 48 hour cancellation policy applies. All meals must be pre-ordered no less than 72 hours prior. Please communicate any dietary requirements when booking. Vegan & GF options available upon request. Bookings close Thursday 4th April at midday. Large parties welcome! Guests may choose one drink from the advertised menu which will be the sole choice for the full two hours. Challenge 25 Act will apply. Those choosing any of the alcoholic beverages must be 18 and over. Staff may ask for a physical & valid form of ID, and will have the right to refuse service if not provided upon asking.   • Where are you located?
    Our address is On The Rocks, Bridge Road, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, PO41 0PJ. We are a 2 minute walk from Yarmouth Bus Station or a 4 minute walk from Yarmouth Ferry Terminal.
  • Do you have parking?
    Whilst we don't have a private car park, parking is available nearby. You can download the PayByPhone app to your smartphone and park at either: Pier Square Car Park (closest) - 84071 Yarmouth Harbour Car Park - 84070 River Road Car Park - 84039 Free parking is available in Yarmouth Pier Square between 18:00 - 10:00 Monday to Sunday. On The Rocks, Yarmouth accepts no responsibility or liability for damage to property or possessions left at your own risk whilst dining with us.
  • How can I get to you?
    By Sea You can get to us by sea by taking the Wightlink Ferry from Lymington Ferry Terminal to Yarmouth Ferry Terminal. The Journey is 40 minutes. As a foot passenger, you can walk to us from the port. The ferry operates until the last service at 21:50. You can also moor up in Yarmouth Harbour if you have a personal pleasure craft. Some of our guests opt to charter a vessel for special events. By Bus We are located a 2 minute walk away from Yarmouth Bus Station which is serviced by the number 7 service from Newport to Alum Bay. By Car There are three long stay carparks located in close proximity to the restaurant, including accessible parking for blue badge holders.
